He explained how the operation would assist my mobility. He showed me the x rays and again this visit I was able to see the results. The doctor gave me further exercises to help strengthen the knee and I am not using crutches nor walking stick. There was a tremendous amount of people waiting and my appointment was well over an hour later than advised but I appreciate that was better than being rushed.

Mr Masterson has today completed my annual review, following my Half Knee replacement May 2021. The operation was a total success, enabling me to regain full mobility and live a pain free life. I waited near on 10 years after 1st diagnosis of my knee issues, and after my first meeting with Mr Masterson a couple of years back, we discussed my options, he listened and we agreed a viable treatment plan, with only covid delaying the process further. The plan was to undertake a half knee replacement procedure and if, when he opened up my knee it was worse than expected, we agreed to convert to a full knee replacement. This would save time/personal trauma and cost to the NHS. Even during covid, he contacted me a few times to see how I was doing and to try to get me in at the earliest, safe opportunity to complete the procedure. Thankfully I was able to be admitted last May and he successfully completed the surgery. I am now up and about again and pain free thanks to Mr Masterson's excellent surgical skills and listening ability, to find the right solution for his patient. For that I am truly grateful. Paul H.

I was very grateful to get an appointment at spire hospital in Brentwood under the nhs as my local hospital appointment awpuld have been at least another 2 years. I met Mr Marsterson in October 2021 and my hip replacement was scheduled for 19 January unfortunately I went down with covid. I was unable to go ahead for 7 weeks. I was given my surgery date for 30 March , 7 weeks later. Mr Marsterson was absolutely amazing as were all the staff at Brentwood spire hospital I had a hip replacement on the right side which left me shorter on one side and amazingly he lengthened my leg as well as my hip replacement. I am doing amazing thanks to the brilliant care and treatment I received from all at spire hospital thank you so much

I had waited seven years for a new hip and was on heavy duty painkillers before I got referred to Spire Hospital in Wanstead, London. Mr Masterson was to be my surgeon, this was my lucky day. Mr Masterson have me the belief that not only could he carry out the surgery it would give me the best chance of a painfree life. Following the surgery I was given all the help required to get back walking, initially with crutches and very soon unaided and drug free. The scar tissue is almost non existant. I met Mr .Masterson again today and was signed off. I am fit and well, I'm back doing diy, gardening and driving,I'm living a good life. I can't recommend this brilliant surgeon highly enough
